Woodycrest House is a unique project Sara worked on for Housing and Services, Inc. (H.S.I.), a non-profit organization that builds and manages apartments for the homeless and people living with HIV/AIDS. Sara with the support of domino, pulled together a group of 8 designers and a host of industry sponsors to fit out and furnish Woodycrest House, a Bronx pre-war building that H.S.I. converted into 40 apartments for women with HIV/AIDS and their children. In these spaces Sara brings a personal understanding of how beautifully designed spaces can help people heal and provide one a sense of peace and well-being.
