Nathalie Latham
A polyglot with a passion for Asian culture, Nathalie Latham enjoyed success as a photographer with a first solo show in 2007, Love It & Leave – Australia’s Creative Diaspora at the Australian National Portrait Gallery. Her work was featured in Le Monde 2 (France), Domus (Italy), Frankfurt Allgemeine (Germany), and The Australian. She also produced & directed music and arts documentaries (Arte, BBC, Mezzo).
Nathalie’s successful career as a photographer and documentary filmmaker was brought to a sudden halt when she was diagnosed with cancer in 2009. Throughout her treatment and seven-year recovery, she began to experiment with drawing in a spiritual quest that sought to illustrate her inner world and support her healing. Today, she describes her drawings as “a prayer for the observer and for the world”. Her upcoming collection titled Illuminating the Journey: Transformation & Navigating Extreme Adversity depicts the healing journey that returned her to life. Nathalie’s inner landscape shines through her artwork, which she shares with the world to help others overcome adversity. A committed environmentalist and supporter of women’s empowerment. Nathalie plays a key role in a wide range of philanthropic initiatives, including Green Sakthi , a leading afforestation program in Tamil Nadu (India).
