Sara Bengur Interiors creates expressive homes rich in color, guided by long-standing expertise, a thoughtful, intentional use of materials, and close attention to detail.
The studio works primarily on full-home renovations and ground-up residential builds, collaborating with architects and builders from early planning through completion. Interiors are designed as part of the architectural process from the beginning.
Sara Bengur Interiors undertakes a limited number of residential projects each year, allowing for deep engagement and a level of attention tailored specifically to each home, from overall concept through the finest details. This approach is grounded in careful listening and observation, an understanding of how clients live, move, and inhabit space, so each home feels deeply personal and thoughtfully resolved.

Vāstu Consultation
Vāstu is a 7000 -10,000 yr. old Vedic science from India based on arranging our man-made environments so that we are aligned with nature. We are now offering Vāstu consultations for homes and offices. Each time I work on a home or office I am in awe of the transformation this great and powerful science brings. It feels more relevant than ever now to attune ourselves with nature and that which is greater than us. By clearing the energy of a home and balancing it, all types of opportunities and abundance are invited to come into our lives.

Color Consultation
Color has always been my passion- I see it as a celebration of life, culture, nature and so much more. Nature teaches us that color can be peaceful and nurturing. The wealth of colors in landscapes, flowers and wildlife is infinitely inspiring. By using the colors in nature, we can create the same peacefulness in our home. It's a delicate process that requires thought and sensitivity to the combinations of hues and shades. I have spent my career working with clients to create colorful and harmonious environments. I love searching for unique paint colors, experimenting with fabrics and carpets from all over the world. My own apartment has become my color laboratory! Each color is a gift- once we open ourselves to the possibility of living with color, the options are endless and so embracing.

For Sara, multiculturalism is more than a design ethos, it's simply her life. Brought up amidst an international milieu in Washington, DC; Istanbul, Turkey; and Maine, her signature love of color and east-meets-west eye are more inborn instinct than acquired aesthetic.
Now based in New York City, Sara an award winning designer brings the world home to her clients. Her sensitive design approach takes a genuine interest in the everyday details of her clients' lives, translating their desires into unique homes that are truly their own.

Through extensive travel, including Europe and beyond, Sara sources one-of-a-kind pieces and develops bespoke elements that bring depth, authenticity, and lasting character to each project. Seamless Turnkey Delivery
For many clients, we oversee every detail through final installation, styling, and preparation, ensuring that the home is ready to be lived in immediately. When desired, we manage the final cleaning, punchlist items with the contractor and complete the home with all furnishings, linens, and accessories so that clients may arrive to a fully prepared residence, needing only to unpack and settle in.
