Like me, the Halls love color. They approached me after a long selection process to create a home in their new apartment at the historic Eldorado on the Upper West Side. We started our decorating journey drawing from their recent experience in the UK where Michael was shooting Safe.

They were drawn by the look of British country homes, the casual elegance of florals and patterns, the feeling of design elements layered together over time and seamlessly coordinated in the most natural way. They loved the bold colors in my portfolio- so we experimented with various color combinations, spending hours on the living room floor with bags and bags of samples and color swatches. They were very open to trying new things and had a clear sense of what they wanted which was inspiring. The bold colors of the walls in the end became a great backdrop for the softer layers of color in the furnishings, carpets and artwork. The whole process felt like a think tank of creativity!
