Our clients downsized from their West Village to a luxury high rise just a few blocks from the United Nations. The experience and design process were full of joy and evolved in a very organic way. They wanted to use a few of their own pieces but give this new chapter an entirely new feel. The upholstery was all custom made in Dedar and Manuel Canovas fabrics, mixed with antique and contemporary pieces of furniture, including antique tribal rugs and newly made rugs. We kept the window treatments simple to accentuate the view. Since they have a large family, the goal was to create a space intimate enough for two of them while allowing it to expand for family reunions. The result is an interior design that reflects their generous and joyful nature- light, airy, and sophisticated.
