This Park Avenue South apartment is the seasonal home of a contemporary art consultant and collector. My penchant for sophisticated interiors that don’t shy away from unusual combinations was inspired by my client’s directive and her spectacular collection which includes art works by Robert Rauchenberg, Jay Heikes and Rita Ackermann. I wanted to create a home rich in texture, color and cultural references, apparently effortless, with an elegant feel to add depth and richness to each room. The interior is ethnic re-interpreted, in a sophisticated combination of exotic patterns, and textures with a contemporary feel to embrace my client’s wish for a contemplative sanctuary with eclectic undertones.
